This early morning raga has an almost chromatic feel but its rasa (mood) is serene and devotional. A common movement is to miss out C and F on the way up, note that this raga doesn’t include the dominant G (Pa) and with the prominence of Ma (F) it gives this raga the feeling of F being the tonic (Sa). The Vadi (most important note is Db (Re Komal) and Samvadi is Ab (Komal).
