This beautiful raga has a zig-zag movement and this is probably because raga Kedar has been taken from an original song. It is a early evening raga and create a pleasant rasa (mood). Its vadi is F (Ma) and samvadi is C (Sa), it is an ancient raga from at least the 15th century but perhaps much older.
